Built for coaches & climbing gyms

climbasics

Coach with grip data your athletes can actually hit.

Assign plans, follow readiness, and put objective force protocols in your athletes’ hands — GripMeter or Tindeq — instead of chasing screenshots and spreadsheet exports.

The coaching gap

Most tools stop where coaching actually starts

Gauge apps give athletes numbers with nowhere to go. Plan apps ignore the force gauge. Climbasics is built to close that split.

Data lives in exports

Athletes finish a test, dump a CSV, and you rebuild the story in Sheets. Again.

“It felt harder” isn’t programming

Without live targets, you can’t know if they hit 70% or quietly sandbagged the set.

Tools don’t talk

One app for plans, another for force, a chat thread for check-ins. Context gets lost between them.

Your workflow

From assessment to next week’s plan — in one product

What you can do with Climbasics today, and what’s next on the coach surface.

Onboard athletes

Invite athletes into Climbasics, share workouts, and keep programming in one place.

Assign plans & workouts

Schedule sessions and hand them a library of climbing-specific work — not a blank calendar.

Read readiness signals

Daily readiness and workload analytics give you a reason to push or pull back before injury talks.

Put force in their pocket

Athletes run GripMeter or Tindeq protocols themselves — warm-up through critical force — with live targets.

Shared protocol language

Prescribe tests athletes can run without you standing over the phone

Warm-up, max strength, RFD, endurance, repeaters, and critical force — with live force, timers, and target bands. Same suite you’d want on the board for yourself.

  • Consistent protocol definitions across athletes
  • Hand-specific flows for asymmetry tracking
  • Research citations on config screens
  • CSV export when you still want the raw series

Coach portal

A desk view for athlete management — grip data coming next

Today you can manage athletes, assign plans, and use analytics dashboards. Bringing grip measurements into that portal is the next coaching milestone.

01

Roster

Keep athletes organized and assigned without juggling three tools.

02

Plans

Hand out structured training and know it lands on their calendar.

03

Analytics

Workload and readiness context for programming decisions.

04

Grip in portal

Coming soon: force history where you already coach — not only in the athlete app.

Roadmap for coaches

Where coaching goes next

Honest upcoming work — especially useful if you’re evaluating Climbasics for a roster.

Next

Saved sessions athletes can reuse

Named runnable presets so “Tuesday L/R repeaters @ 80%” doesn’t need reprogramming every week.

Portal

Grip data in the coach portal

See force history beside plans and readiness — the missing piece for desk-side programming.

Later

Gym accounts & shared devices

Shared gauges, multi-athlete testing, and a higher-value gym workflow once consumer foundations are solid.

FAQ

Questions coaches ask first

Can I coach athletes in Climbasics today?

Yes. You can manage athletes, assign plans and workouts, and use analytics dashboards. Athletes can also run GripMeter and Tindeq protocols in the app. Grip charts inside the coach portal are still on the roadmap.

Which gauges should my athletes use?

Full support today for GripMeter (the official Climbasics partnership) and Tindeq Progressor — same protocol suite on both. We’re expanding device support over time, so athletes aren’t locked to a single brand forever.

Can athletes export data for me?

Yes — CSV export covers the protocol families, so you can still pull raw series into your own analysis tools when needed.

Is there a gym or multi-coach plan?

Not yet. Gym accounts with shared devices are planned after the consumer and coach portal grip work lands. If you’re evaluating for a facility, email us — early conversations help shape that surface.

How do I get coach access?

Climbasics is invite-only. Request access below and tell us you’re coaching — we’ll prioritize accordingly.

Bring measured training to your roster

Tell us you’re a coach when you join the list. We’ll follow up about access, athlete invites, and what’s shipping next for the portal.
